What happened
[REDACTED] driller finished his day of production using the Comacchio [REDACTED]. The driller asked a laborer for help to clean the drill rig. The laborer was spraying the main chain of the rig while the driller was scoping the drill head up and down. When scoping the drill head down from the top of the mast the auxiliary line cable caught on some portion of the head which extended and pulled the block down thus shearing the cable. The block and hook from the auxiliary line cable fell approximately 30 '. It was determined that the weighted block hit the laborer 's hard hat and shoulder on its way down.
