Employee was attempting to loosen a nut and bolt that had seized up. They were using a high-powered impact wrench to turn the bolt and a box end wrench to hold the nut.

When the employee triggered the impact wrench the box end wrench holding the nut was turned and caused his left middle finger to strike the sharp edge of the aluminum deck frame.

The left middle finger was lacerated and fractured above the last knuckle.
