What happened
Operator was attempting to swap sleeve and tooling in HPM caster. Comp cylinder tooling was left in while sleeve was being installed and created a pinch point. Aluminum build up on the sleeve caused the cylinder to catch the sleeve during install and pulled the operators gloved finger in between the sleeve and die injuring operator 's left thumb pad.
