Employee was performing the task to electrically wire the new transformer for Dip Zone 4 [REDACTED]. This transformer was being wired with live power feed of 120 Volt (Hot wire). The maintenance technician secured the new eyelet in the jaws of the crimp tool in the right hand while holding onto the wire with the left hand. The Technician then joined the wire end into the eyelet receiver. The moment the wire end touched the receiving end of the eyelet there was a visible arc flash contacting the crimp jaws and ran directly up the handles to the technicians right thumb. The technicians right elbow also contacted the metal cabinet door that hinged closed on the elbow and right-side shoulder blade. This created a perfect pathway for electricity to travel to ground by running across the technicians chest.
