Before the incident
Operator picked up the mold from the holding cart. Then walked the mold over to the workstation (manually) that was approximately 5 feet distance. As the operator was walking the mold over to the knock out booth shards were falling off due to the mold being brittle. When the operator went to set down the mold on the booth parts of the mold fell off the cluster and contacted the employee leading to a severe laceration on the left forearm.
