When the machine had finished the product and before the employee went to retrieve the finished product the employee used his hands to move the chips and stringers that are a waste from the lathing operation. The employee only had Nitrile gloves on when the proper PPE is ANSI Cut Level A5 or higher also with ANSI [REDACTED] 138 impact rating 2 glove and also the employee didn 't use the 24 chip hook to remove the waste Chips Stringers. the employee received a laceration to his left hand in between his pointer finger and thumb receiving 3 stitches.
