What happened

At around [REDACTED] a employee was working at a lathe machine. When the machine had finished the product and before the employee went to retrieve the finished product the employee used his hands to move the chips and stringers that are a waste from the lathing operation. The employee only had Nitrile gloves on when the proper PPE is ANSI Cut Level A5 or higher also with ANSI [REDACTED] 138 impact rating 2 glove and also the employee didn 't use the 24 chip hook to remove the waste Chips Stringers. the employee received a laceration to his left hand in between his pointer finger and thumb receiving 3 stitches.
