Before the incident
Employee was using the Rustoleum cloth rag and his normal cloth safety gloves to clean metal material during his 10 hour shift. Employee stated the he didnt think to look at the label on the Rustoleum or the MSDS sheets to see what type of gloves he should be wearing he just went on to do his job.
What happened
Employee was cleaning metal products with his cloth safety gloves a saturated rag covered in Rustoleum during his 10 hour shift. He stated that he didnt change his gloves out during his shift. He stated that he did wash his hands a couple of times throughout the night. He stated that he was not having any issues at the end of his shift. When he awoke the [REDACTED] as he works 2nd shift he was having pain redness blistering swelling and pain in both hands and reported to the ER.
