Employee was working in an elevated scissor lift with a co-worker installing C-channel.

While lifting a piece of steel the employee inadvertently stepped on an angle grinder that was laying on the scissor lift 's platform. Both the safety and trigger of the angle grinder were activated causing the grinder to start.

The cut-off wheel of the grinder slid into the inside of employee 's left ankle causing an abrasion cut. Employee received four stitches.
