Assisting patient in a sit to sit transfer.

What happened

Patient wanted to go back to bed after therapy so I positioned her charge to the side of the bed to do a stand pivot transfer. As the patient was starting to pivot after standing up her legs gave out. At which time I placed my right leg between her legs further to keep her from going down. At which time I was level with the bed as a scooted the patient enough on the bed to safely roll her onto the bed with me rolling twisting my back to place her safely in the bed then I repositioned patient in the bed and changed her brief and placed bed rails and alarm is appropriate safety and call light in reach. Left room reported to nurse assigned to hall what had happened. As the day went on I experienced more discomfort.
