Drilling an injection hole into tree
What happened
I had just replaced my drill bit and was drilling an injection hole into a green ash tree at a park and stood up. As I stood up I heard a notification from either my phone or tablet that I thought was from Blink or a coworker trying to message me. So I tried to take my right glove off so I could reach into my pocket(s) to check. The glove was kind of tight so I took my left hand (which still had the drill in it) and pulled yanked even harder. The bottom part of the drill that has a belt clip caught my glove and I dropped the drill. As this happened the side of the drill bit sliced into my right pinkie finger on the outside edge. I looked down and the gash was decently deep and gushing blood. I immediately walked to my car got my first aid kit and wiped it with an alcohol pad and held some gauze on it. I went to get new gauze but the wind blew it out of my car and onto the parking lot. Supervisors truck was still in the parking lot so I walked over to it (my pinkie was still gushing blo
