What happened
Per EE patient is nonverbal and not well sedated needed IV start there were 2 other nurses on hand to assist with restraining patient for IV start. [REDACTED] 24 gauge. Needle was not puncturing skin of patient easily. EE was passing needle over to put it on the counter prior to disposal and needle tip grazed tip of middle finger on left hand creating a small cut though glove.
