What happened
While unsuccessfully attempting to block an automatic vehicle gate from closing by placing a road cone to block the light activated sensor beam the employee rested their right hand on the stationary gate receiver bracket. When the gate closed it pinched the employee 's right pinky finger against the gate receiving bracket resulting in a fracture of the employee 's right pinky finger.
