Before the incident
Adding a stack of labels to the label infeed.
What happened
Employee was making a routine adjustment to the label stack infeed when she actuated the manual jog with the tip of her finger just inside the point of operation. The tip of her finger became pinched by the label stack and the metal conveyor guide. She immediately lowered the label stack to free her finger. This was her first time manning this machine and during the incident interview she mentioned how she was not accustomed to how quickly the label stack would rise as compared to the machine she usually operates.
