Demolitioning drain pipe system for remodel retrofit and replacement

As the employee was removing the old cast iron pipe from a wall emloyee descended a ladder to get a tool off the floor. As the employee was bent over picking up wrench pipe hanger released and pipe swung down striking employee across the lower lumbar area of back. Employee was taken to occupational clinic for diagnostic xrays and examination placed on restrictions and released back to work.
