What happened
Employee finished vertical assembly on a BCF unit that was 121 lbs. and 48 long. Employee manually handled unit to lay it down on lift table when bottom of the unit slipped on the lift table causing it to land onto there left middle finger. First aid was immediately provided (ice pack and splint to stabilize). Employee finished the rest of the shift but called core after work. Fractured left middle finger. Standard work (attached) states all large unit are to assembled in a horizontal fashion to avoid this from occurring. Employee admitted neglect in the process which was addressed after the fact with further training.
