Adding feed from a 30 lbs. feed bag to mouse cages.

Employee makes autoclaved feed boxes for the building. This involves opening 30lb bags of feed and lifting to fill 70 smaller feed boxes (mouse cages) on the cart. Typically this task is performed once a day. It is believed that the repeat picking up and filling of the cages contributes to an injury (wrist pain). The employee has not made another load of feed since I have heard about it though planned to not stack the feed cages as high to help reduce lifting feed bags as high.

Sprain to Left Wrist

feedbags

Sprain to Left Wrist caused by Lifting the bags of feed and holding the bags in an uncomfortable manner over a period of time.
