EE was in the process of changing the lance on the North side desulf at the Qbop. EE was on the platform directing the [REDACTED] helper to communicate with the overhead [REDACTED] [REDACTED].
What happened
EE was in the process of changing the lance on the North side desulf at the Qbop. EE was on the platform directing the [REDACTED] helper to communicate with the overhead ladle crane. During the process. EE placed his hand in a pinch point by not using a hands free-free tool. He directed the [REDACTED] helper to communicate to the overhead ladle crane to lower the lance into position on the lance carriage. That is when EE noticed his glove was caught in between the lance and the lance carriage. [REDACTED] then finished tightening the lance backets keeping the lance in place. He stated he didn’t notice his finger was injured until he got down from the lance changing platform.
