were exposed to an injury from employees not being restrained in a
forklift in case of tipping
and/or rollover:
a)Main Warehouse, loading/unloading area: On the week of August 26, 2002,
worker(s)
drove and used forklift (License #541SEC) without seatbelt while operating
the
equipment on wet floors and in the vicinity of open sided docks.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct this
hazard is to suspend the use of this forklift or to retrofit new seat
belts and required use
of the seat belts as referenced in ASME B56.1-200, "SAFETY STANDARD FOR LOW
LIFT AND HIGH LIFT TRUCKS" AND OSHA'S NEW FORKLIFT TRAINING
STANDARD.
