On or before July 29, 1993, employees were working adjacent to open sided
floors
20' high, in the dark, without following an established written safe work
procedure based on job hazard analysis and training.  Among other
methods, a
feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct the hazard would be to
establish a written program of maintenance which will insure that
employees
a) Do not work on the floor area to wipe dust from props or change
overhead
lights using folding step ladders in the Disaster Transport Ride building
in the
dark.
b) Do not work at open side floor areas without guard rails or without
using
a
safety harness and lanyards in the Disaster Transport Ride building.
c) Are trained in the recognition of fall hazards and the use of fall
protection
systems.
d) Are following the program and insuring this by periodic program
reviews.
