Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Possible strains, back and crushing injuries when required to unload garden tractors weighing in excess of 500 lbs. without the assistance of mechanical handling equipment. Employees pull and push these large heavy containers down two planks from the truck to the ground. Employees are subjected to pulls, sprains, and serious back injuries while tugging on the containers and are subjected to crushing injuries should the plank slip off the truck or the container of one of the planks should break or fail in any
