Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: (a)Carpet Masters, Driveway Between the Showroom, Building 11 and Warehouse, Building 14: An employee was operating the Geneo 30 forklift and was not wearing a seatbelt. ABATEMENT NOTE: AMONG OTHER METHODS, ONE FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE ABATEMENT METHOD TO CORRECT THIS HAZARD IS TO WEAR THE PROVIDED SEATBELT AS REFERENCED IN ITSDF B56.1-2005 "SAFETY STANDARD FOR LOW LIFT AND HIGH LIFT TRUCKS" OR FOLLOW THE OPERATOR MANUAL UNDER USE OF SEATBELT.
