Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: the employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed of burn injuries from fire and/or explosion: a) On or about July 22, 1991, in the Maintenance Shed, oxygen and acetylene tanks were stored together exposing the employees of possible burn injuries from fire and/or explosion. Among other methods one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to separate the oxygen and acetylene tanks by a minimum distance of 20 feet or by a noncombustible barrier at least five feet high having a fire resistance rating of at least on half hour.
