Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: (a) The hazard of being struck by vehicles with obstructed views to the rear in that at the east fence area behind touch-ups, Blue Bird bus #5, having an obstructed view to the rear, was moving in reverse direction and struck an employee an 6-23-92. "Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to require an observer to signal that it is safe to back up the bus when the view to the rear is obstructed."
