Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to fall hazards up to approximately 10 feet: (a) Facility, R.D. #1, Box 22A, Adrian, PA 162109712; Employees work off of a pallet attached to the forks of the forklifts at the facility and are not protected against the hazard of falling by an approved platform equipped with standard guardrails. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to use and enforce the use of platforms equipped with standard guardrails.
