trained in the safe methods
of the shearing operation:

as to the safe methods of work as specified in the manufacturers
operation, safety
and maintenance manual and the applicable ANSI standard B11.4.  In
addition the
rear of the machine was not equipped with an awareness barrier.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct this hazard is
institute/implement an effective training policy to include all the
requirements in the Cincinnati
Mechanical Shear Operation, Safety and Maintenance Manual and the
applicable ANSI standard
B11.4.  In addition, install an awareness barrier in rear of the shear per
manufacturers
specification.
