Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to fall hazards: (a) Location: Rental Space, Roof Level; Employees were exposed to fall hazards which could have resulted in serious physical harm or death while working without fall protection at a roof's edge, installing metal flashing. Among other methods of abating this condition would be to have the employees wear safety belts with landyards attached to life lines.
