Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to falling approximately 20 feet to the concrete floor below: Warehouse at the Palletizer area, south conveyor at the hominy line Employees monitoring the conveyor area and/or clearing production jams grabbed and held on to the framework of the upper conveyor an swung their bodies over the lower conveyor and an approximately 2 foot x 3 foot opening to access the walkway between the conveyor. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to ensure employees use of provided safe means of access.

Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to falling approximately 9 feet to the concrete floor below: Warehouse at Palletizer area, Palletizer Number 2 - Employees performing job duties such as, but not limited to clearing produces and production jams climbed around the catwalk steps handrail and stepped over to the framework ledge of the palletizer machinery and then stepped down to the steel rollers of the in-feed conveyor. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to train employees to perform their job duties from safe work stations/platforms and ensure these duties are performed without employees accessing the
