P.L. 91-596 Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to being struck-by vehicles or equipment: A- Between Northbound lanes and Southbound lanes of I-75, Adel, Georgia - Employees working/walking in and out of the work zone and crossing the traffic lanes were not wearing a reflective vest or other highly visibile clothing. One feasible and acceptable means of abatement is to ensure all employees are provided and have been instructed to utilize reflective vests while working in highway work zones and to implement a disciplinary program to ensure compliance.y
