Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that: (a)The transfer vessel in the Inspira area, in the coating room, had no over-pressure relief device to reduce the hazard of catastrophic failure of the vessel should it be exposed to excessive pressures. The transfer vessel was not constructed following the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Boiler and Pressure Vessel Codes. No certification required. Violation Abated.on
