Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employmnent and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in the form of unstable loads striking workers. JOBSITE: Workers were exposed to injury while working under and receiving tandem loads of steel beams that were not provided with tag lines and in which each load was attached to the other. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct the hazard would be to utilize individual attachments and tag lines for each piece.
