Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employmnent and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that: Worksite- On or about 06/12/03, No safe means of access was utilized, and an employee was lowered into a 5ft wide by 6ft long by 8ft deep trench with the bucket of the Ford Tractor. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to reduce the hazard is to: 1.Provide access ladder or equivalent means.lent
