Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:

proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
At the Air Rescue Unit Building at the Luis Munoz Marin International
Airport: There
were two (2) instances of uneven floor risings of one half (1/2) inch high:
At the communication office area, an employee monitored the airport
communications.  The risings were on the floor between the monitoring
station and the restroom and water fountain.  Posing a tripping hazard and
coming in contact with the water fountain or wood cabinet;
at the Air Rescue Unit training room restroom, employees from the Air
Rescue Unit Chiefs office used this restroom.  The rising was on the floor
in front of the toilet.  Posing a tripping hazard and coming in contact
with the
toilet fixture.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct this
hazard is to repair the floor level with a gradual rising in front of the
toilet and repair
the floor level to new in the communication office.
En el edificio de la Unidad de Rescate Aereo en el Aeropuerto
Internacional Luis Munoz
Marin: Habian dos (2) instancias de desnivel de media (1/2) de pulgada de
subida en el
piso:
En la oficina de comunicaciones, donde un empleado estaba a cargo de la
vigilancia de las comunicaciones del aeropuerto por radio.  El desnivel
esta
en el piso entre la estacion de comunicacion y el bano y fuente de agua.
Dando un riesgo de tropiezo y entrando en contacto con la fuente de agua o
con el gabinete de madera;
En el bano del cuarto de adiestramiento, empleados de la oficina del Jefe
de
la Unidad de Rescate Aereo usan este bano.  El desnivel esta en frente del
inodoro.  Dando un riesgo de tropiezo y entrando en contacto con el
inodoro.
Entre otros metodos, un metodo accesible y aceptable para este riesgo es
reparar el nivel
del piso con una subida gradual frente al inodoro y reparar el nivel del
piso a nuevo en
la oficina de comunicaciones.
