Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The
employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were
free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or
serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to
falling
loads and/or falling hoist parts:
a.)   Seaward Marine Services, Inc. - general shop area.
The one and one-half (1-1/2) ton Yale, single
trolley, single overhead hoist did not have the
rated capacity permanently marked on the hoist.
**ABATEMENT NOTE:  Among other methods, one feasible and
acceptable means of abatement to correct this hazard is to
permanently mark the steel I-beam support or load block in a
position clearly visible from the operating position as
referenced in the ANSI standard 30.16-1973, section
