Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico: El patrono no proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten causando o que puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados estaban expuestos a: a.Receive serious injuries or death from fall. An employee was working at a height of 36 feet approximately on a beam of a 126 feet x 136 feet steel building being assemble, without the safety belt attached to an anchorage by means of a lifeline, as a part of a complete fall arrest system. Among other methods to correct this hazard a feasible and acceptable one is to install an anchorage and a lifeline to attach the safety belt. a.Recibir lesiones serias o muerte debido a caidas. Un empleado estaba trabajando a 36 pies de altura aproximadamente, sobre una viga de un edificio de acero estructural de 126 pies x 136 pies que se estaba ensamblando, sin el cinturon de seguridad atado a un anclaje por medio de una linea salvavida, como parte de un sistema personal para detener caidas. Entre otros metodos correctivos, uno seguro y aceptable es instalar un anclaje y una linea salvavida para conectar el cinturon de seguridad.
