Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupation al Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico: El patrono no proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten causando o que puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados estaban expuestos a: a. At the establishment. Machine shop and casting areas. Employees were exposed to serious injuries while working with hoists that were not inspected at least annually first one in machine shop, trademark Hovet-M3-11711003 and second one in casting area trademark Chester model A.M.(american made), serial # A.M.H.2993; both hoists of 1/2 ton capacity and 10 feet over floor. One feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is a complete anual inspection, according to Ansi-B-30. a: En el establecimiento. Areas de taller de torneria y de "casting". Empleados fueron expuestos a lesiones serias mientras trabajaban con equipos de izar que no estaban inspecionados anualmente; la primera en area de torneria, marca "Hovet" M#-11711003 y la segunda en area de "casting", marca Chester, modelo A.M.H.2993; ambas de 1/2 tonelada de capacidad y a 10 pies de alto. Un metodo factible y aceptable para corregir este riesgo es una inspeccion completa annual, de acuerdo al ANSI-B-30.
