Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:
Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico:
El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
a.  Receive serious injuries in eyes with chemical such as Lumbad - S,
Ornete Lube oil
additives and others.  At the mixing area, laboratory, boilers area.
Facilities for quick
drenching or flushing of eye were not provide with a continious flow of
water to both
eye simultaneously.
Among other methods one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct this
hazards is flush the line verify proper operation.
a.  Recibir lesiones serias en los ojos con quimicos tales como Lumbad- S,
Ornete Lube
oil additive y otros.  En el area de mezclado, laboratorio y area de
calderas.  Facilidades
para el rapido lavado de ojos no provee el flujo de agua continuo para
ambos ojos
simultaneamente.
Entre otros metodos uno aceptable para corregir este riesgo es drenar las
lineas y
verificar la operacion apropiada.

area.
Facilities for quik drenching were not immediately adyacent when a
potencial eyes effect
of chemical is present.
Amoung other methods one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct this
hazard is install a facilities of eyes/face wash within 10 feet of the
hazard.

Una facilidad para rapido lavado de ojos no estuvo inmediatamente
adyacente cuando
habia un efecto potencial a ojos del quimico que estaba presente.
Entre otros metodos uno aceptable para corregir este riesgo es instalar
una facilidad de
lavado de ojos y cara demtro de 10 pies del riesgo.
