Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico: El patrono no proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten causando o que puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados estaban expuestos a: a. Receive injuries or fracture due to failure of an electric mechanism hoist, trademark Columbus McKinnon, 1 ton. located at blending area where it was used by one employee to pour additives from fifty five galons container, four hundred pounds. The mechanic was not inspected. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to performed periodic inspection as defined in ANSI B.30,16- 1973, Sec. 16-2.2.1.3, pag. 15. a. Recibir heridas o fracturas debido a falla en el mecanismo electrico de izar, marca Columbus McKinnon, 1 Ton. localizado en el area de mezclado donde era usado por un empleado para vertir aditivos de un envase de 55 gals. de cuatrocientas libras. El mecanismo de izar no estaba inspeccionado. Entre otros metodos, uno aceptable y posible de corregir es realizar inspecciones periodicas segun se define en ANSI B.30, 16-1973, Sec. 16-2.2.1.3, pag. 15..

Receive injuries or fracture due to failure in procedure to lay down container from fifty five galons, four hundred pounds of additives in the bleding area. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is develop an adecuate procedure to manage the container to avoid fall down in the leg of the employee. a. Recibir heridas o fracturas debido a falla en procedimiento de acostar envases de cincuenta y cinco galones, cuatrocientas libras de aditivos en el area de mezclado. Entre otros metodos, un metodo aceptable y posible de corregir es desarrollar un procedimiento adecuado para manejar los envases para evitar caiga en la pierna del empleado.
