Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico: El patrono no proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten causando o que puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados estaban expuestos a: a. Receive injuries due to fall from a work platform in the top of a gasoline truck, plate # 30893 A (Texaco), at 10'8" high from the ground level (38'8" x 36" wide) when the employee do his work on the top of the truck. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to install a turnbuckle cable as a part of a fall arrest system. a. Recibir lesiones debido a caidas desde una plataforma de trabajo de un camion ubicada en el techo del camion, matricula # 30893 A (Texaco), a 10'8" de altura desde el suelo (38'8" largo x 36" ancho), cuando el empleado se sube al camion a hacer su trabajo. Entre otros metodos, un metodo seguro y confiable para corregir este riesgo es instalar un cable tensor como parte del sistema de detencion de caidas.
