Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico: El patrono no proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten causando o que puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados estaban expuestos a: a. Receive serious injuries due to falls from workplatforms (40 feet long x 30 inches wide) on the top of trucks, where load / unload operations were performed at 10 feet high (aprox) from the ground level, when employees go from one side to the other side of the platform, while doing his job duties. Among other nethods, one feasible and acceptable abatement methodd to correct this hazard is to install an aerial turnbuckle cable as a part of a fall personal arrest system. a. Recibir lesiones serias debido a caidas de plataforma de trabajo (40 pies de largo x 30 pulgadas de ancho) en el tope de camiones, donde operaciones de carga/descarga fueron efectuadas a una altura de 10 pies aprox. desde el piso, mientras el empleado va de una parte a otra plataforma del camion, mientras realiza su trabajo. Entre otros metodos, un metodo seguro y confiable para corregir este riesgo es instalar un cable tensor como parte de un sistema personal de detencion de caidas.on
