P.L. 91-596 Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of
1970: The employer
did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards
that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees in that
employees were exposed to:
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct this hazard is:
a.  Receiving Dock - The employees operating the number 2 Caterpillar
forklift truck ( serial
number 2ND01000) and the number 3 Clark forklift truck (serial number
GX230-553-8380) were
not using the seatbelts that were installed  on these counter-balanced
sitdown
type forklift trucks,
on or about 5/7/97.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct this hazard is
to enforce the corporate policy requirements for seat belt use.
