Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to possible hazards created by not following ANSI/SIA A92.6-1990 as it relates to operator training and to retention of records, both vehicle inspection and operator training records. Among other methods, one feasible abatement method to correct the hazards are to follow ANSI/SIA A92.6-1990 requirements for operator training and record retention. Warehouse - An operator of the Stato-Lift scissor lift, was not trained in its use and records of operator's training as well as records of the scissor lift periodic and annual inspections were not maintained as required by ANSI/SIA A92.6-1990.
