Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees that employees were exposed to. a. On or about June 9, 1998, at the job site located at the Wingate Hotel - Tinley Park, Illinois, two employees working in a snorkelift, TB60 were not wearing a safety harness and lanyard to prevent them from falling out of the basket to the ground. A feasible and useful means of abatement includes, but is not limited to the following action: 1. Ensure that all employees who work in an aerial lift are provided with and use a safety harness and lanyard which is correctly donned and used according to the manufacturer's recommendations. `w 0y 0y G
