ABATEMENT NOTES:
1.Ensure that all below-the-hook lifting devices are load rate tested per
American Society of Mechanical Engineers, ASME B30.20-1993,
Section 20-1.4.2(a) and (b).
2.Ensure that all below-the-hook lifting devices are marked with their
rated load and identification per American Society of Mechanical
Engineers, ASME B30.20-1993, Section 20-1.2.1(a) and (b).
3.Ensure that all below-the-hook lifting devices are inspected per
American Society of Mechanical Engineers, ASME B30.20-1993,
Section 20-1.3.1(a) and (b).
International Wire Group Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this
occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard (Section
5(a)(1) of the Act) which was contained in OSHA inspection number
302687710, Citation 1, Item 1, issued on 10/6/99, with respect to a
workplace
located at 24 North Beaver St., Jordan, N.Y.
