Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer failed to provide a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: Employees working from the Grove extendable boom aerial lift were exposed to injuries from falls due to the lack of fall protection as required by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI A92.5-1992) Standard for Boom-Supported Elevating Work Platforms. CERTIFIED PAINTING COMPANY, INC. WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 302114467, CITATION NUMBER 01, ITEM NUMBER 001, ISSUED ON 8/31/99, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT THE HARLEM AND CAL-SAG BRIDGE IN PALOS HEIGHTS, IL.
