Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees. Employees were exposed to hazards (i.e. crushing) associated with forklift operations without wearing employee restraint devices (seat belts). Employees were observed using the following forklifts which did not have seat belts: Nissan #KCPH02A25PV, Hyster #D187V06078U, #D187V06085U, #D187V06097U One feasible means of abatement to correct this hazard would be to install employee restraint devices (seat belts) on each forklift and ensure their use.r
