Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: a) The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that: employee(s) were exposed to the hazard of amputation when operating a GEKA Hydracorp 100/S Ironworker without proper guarding of the point of operation. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to implement and follow manufacturer's procedures or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) B11.5 for the care and use of ironworkers for maintenance, inspections, operator training, and operational procedures. "ABATEMENT VERIFICATION REQUIRED"
