North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety
and Health Act of North Carolina:  The employer did not furnish to
each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of
employment which were free from recognized hazards that were
causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees:
a)Plant 2 - welding department, an employee was observed
walking under the mobile home frame which was suspended
from the hoists to spray paint the frame.
b)Plant 2 - welding department, employees were observed
walking under the suspended mobile home frame to retrieve
tires stored on the North wall of the Department.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to
correct these hazards would be to not allow employees to walk
and/or work underneath the mobile home frame while it is
suspended and prohibit the operator from leaving a suspended
load unattended.
