North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: a)facility; laser area - below the hook device was not load tested. REFERENCE: ANSI B30.20-1985; 20-1.4.2 Rated Load Test(a) Prior to initial use, all new, altered, modified, or repaired lifting devices should be tested.. NOTE: One feasible and acceptable means of abatement is to have the below the hook device load tested.
