were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to

were exposed to the hazard of being struck-by the load:
a)Saw Department, on or about 5/13/02: Structural supports for overhead
hoist
systems used for lifting materials including but not limited to; forging
stock.
1)Support structures were not labeled with the maximum load capacity.
2)Support structures were not designed to withstand the loads and forces
imposed by the hoist.
ABATEMENT NOTES:
Among other methods, one feasible method of abatement is to:
1). Label rated load capacity on support structure as per ASME
B30.16-1987.
2). Request a qualified person to inspect the installation of the support
structures
to ensure they will withstand imposed loads for the hoist system being
used, as per
ASME B30.16-1987.
Abatement certification must be submitted for this item.
