Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not provide employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were likely to cause serious harm or death in that employees were exposed to being struck by a falling conveyor that had not been secured and kept steady and upright. Among feasible abatement methods is to have the support (springs) evaluated and adjusted. At the Cap Area South - Employees passed through an open-conveying line and were exposed to injury by a falling conveyor frame. CERTIFICATION REQUIRED FOR THIS ITEM
